Registration is now open for Panther Sports Academy half day summer sports camp at Coral Park Christian Academy in Miami, FL. This camp is for students entering K-8th grade this upcoming fall of 2017.

Early registration discount ends on April 21st.

Wake Forest Charter Academy’s Boys Basketball team wins the “Triangle Area Athletic Conference”

A historic evening for Wake Forest Charter Academy’s athletic program, as the Boys Middle School basketball team won the Triangle Area Athletic Conference Championship game on Thursday, February 16, 2017, with a 40-37 win against Thales Academy (Rolesville).  This is the 1st time Conference Championship in any sport in the history of the school, and it is the 1st school year that WFCA has competitive Middle School teams. Congratulations on a perfect 12-0 season, and finishing as Conference Champions with no 8th graders on their roster.

3rd place finish at the “Independent Private School League” JV (4th-6th grade) division Volleyball Championships for Coral Park Christian Academy’s volleyball team

Coral Park Christian Academy’s JV volleyball team lost in the semi-finals of the League Championships to First United 21-25, 25-13, 15-7.  In the 3rd place match, CPCA beat Gladeview Christian School 25-23, 25-10 to finish in 3rd place at the League Championships at the Miami Springs Recreation Center on Thursday, October 27th.

Congratulations to CPCA in a successful 1st year in competitive sport in the history of the school.

Coral Park Christian Academy’s Volleyball team qualifies for the IPSL Post season tournemnt!

Congratulations to Coral Park Christian Academy’s JV (6th grade division) volleyball team in qualifying for the Independent Private School League Volleyball Post season tournament held at the Miami Springs Recreation Center on Thursday, October 27th.

Congratulations to Wake Forest Charter Academy’s Middle School girls volleyball team in finishing in 2nd place in the Triangle Area Athletic Conference, after losing in the Championship finals on Thursday, October 13th, to Thales Academy (Rolesville).

August 8th tryouts begin at Wake Forest Charter Academy for MS Girls Volleyball and boys soccer!

Middle School Girls volleyball and Boys soccer season kicks off at Wake Forest Charter Academy with try outs on Monday, August 8th. Any WFCA parents interested in having their child tryout for either of the two (2) teams, please stop by the front office and fill out the registration forms by Friday, August 5th. Season games against other schools is tentatively scheduled to start in late August.

Panther Sports Academy’s summer sports camps begin on Monday, June 6th!

WHERE:  Coral Park Christian Academy- 8755 SW 16th street, Miami, FL 33165

WHO:   Open to anyone entering Kindergarten-8th grade in the fall of 2016

DATES: *June 6-10- AM Camp (8:00-12:00) *June 13-17- PM Camp (1:00-4:30)

*June 20-24- AM Camp (8:00-12:00) *June 27- July 1- AM Camp (8:00-12:00)

COST: $110 for the week (5 days).  Sports campers must be picked up by noon (Lunch is not provided)

CAMP DESIGN: Our sports camps are designed to keep participants busy learning skills, practicing drills, as well as playing games or game situations. Students will rotate from one sport to another throughout the morning three (3) times a day.

Seeking coaches in Raleigh and Wake Forest, NC for the 2016-2017 school year!

 

 Panther Sports Academy  expanded to North Carolina in the 2015-2016 school year, and is seeking coaches in different sports (Volleyball, basketball, soccer and other sports )in Raleigh and Wake Forest for the 2016-2017 school year. Programs will be offered to students in grades Kindergarten- 7th grade.
* Site supervisors: We are also looking for qualified individuals to supervise programs at school sites for the 2016-2017 school year. Candidates must be available to work between 2-3 hours a day, 3-5 days a week between the hours of 3:00-6:00.Minimum Requirements for coaches:
- High School diploma
- College student or college graduate preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Must have reliable transportation and means of communication (cell phone)
- Must be able to pass background check (expense paid by applicant)
- Professional References
- Must enjoy coaching (not just playing)
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (minimum of 2 days a week) which will be based on individual assignment.

(Working hours will range from 1.5 to 3 hours a day. Sports programs at schools are generally held between 3:00-6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.)

Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Personal experience playing and/or coaching (applicable) sport(s)
- Ability to relate well to and work patiently with students, parents and school administrators
- Ability to clearly understand and follow instructions
- Willingness to learn and actively improve coaching techniques
- Superior instructional ability and active engagement in practices
- Team player with an emphasis on fair play
- Personal and professional integrity and a positive demeanor
- Ethical behavior and role modeling
- Must be trustworthy, responsible, self motivated and well organized
- Must be dependable (*we can’t stress this enough) as well as punctual and reliable
