There is a big difference between a standard sports program and a superior sports program. A superior program has a superior planning system, well thought out practice plans based on a sound philosophy, and has the ability to understand individual differences, and can personally connect well with individual athletes as well as with the group in a way that can bring out the best in both the individuals, and the team or group. Furthermore, superior sports programs continually reinforce the basic skills at practice sessions, and builds on the basic skills and progresses into more advanced skills and drills over time. These programs also emphasize the fundamental skills and the development of skills with children that are first starting out in a sport, instead of focusing on tactics, strategies and plays at games.
