- High School diploma
- College student or college graduate preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Must have reliable transportation and means of communication (cell phone)
- Must be able to pass background check (expense paid by applicant)
- Professional References
- Must enjoy coaching (not just playing)
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (minimum of 2 days a week) which will be based on individual assignment.
(Working hours will range from 1.5 to 3 hours a day. Sports programs at schools are generally held between 3:00-6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.)
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Personal experience playing and/or coaching (applicable) sport(s)
- Ability to relate well to and work patiently with students, parents and school administrators
- Ability to clearly understand and follow instructions
- Willingness to learn and actively improve coaching techniques
- Superior instructional ability and active engagement in practices
- Team player with an emphasis on fair play
- Personal and professional integrity and a positive demeanor
- Ethical behavior and role modeling
- Must be trustworthy, responsible, self motivated and well organized
- Must be dependable (*we can’t stress this enough) as well as punctual and reliable
